PursueBam Rainbow PLA is a multi-color co-extruded 3D printing filament made from 100% virgin biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA). Several colored resin streams are blended inside a single strand, so the color shifts smoothly and gradually along the length of the filament. A single spool therefore prints flowing rainbow gradients and vivid layered transitions without any manual filament swap mid-print. It keeps all the classic PLA advantages — low warpage, low odor, stable extrusion and easy printing — and is compatible with most mainstream FDM 3D printers, making it ideal for decorative figurines, art models, vases, cosplay props, gifts and display pieces.

FAQ

Q1: How does rainbow PLA create the color change?

A: The filament is co-extruded from several colored PLA resins into a single strand; the mix ratio shifts along the length, so the printed color changes gradually and continuously. One spool therefore produces rainbow and gradient effects without any manual spool change.

Q2: What printing temperature should I use?

A: Set the nozzle to 190–220°C (200–215°C recommended) and the heated bed to 50–60°C. A slightly higher nozzle temperature improves layer adhesion, while too high a temperature may increase stringing.

Q3: Will rainbow PLA warp or clog on large prints?

A: Pure PLA with tight diameter tolerance prints with low warpage. For large models use a 60°C first layer and avoid drafts; keep the filament sealed and dry to prevent clogging and stringing.

Q4: Is it compatible with my FDM printer?

A: Yes. It works with almost all mainstream FDM printers that accept 1.75 mm filament and a standard 0.4 mm nozzle, and it can be printed without an enclosure.
