Product Description

Clear PETG filament 1.75mm is a transparent glycol-modified copolyester 3D printing material supplied by PursueBam on 1 kg vacuum-sealed spools with ±0.02 mm diameter tolerance. It prints at 230–250°C nozzle and 70–80°C bed, delivers glass-like transparency with higher impact strength than PLA, and warps far less than ABS, making it suitable for clear covers, LED diffusers, light guides and functional end-use parts.

Key facts: material PETG · diameter 1.75 mm ±0.02 mm · net weight 1 kg/spool · nozzle 230–250°C · bed 70–80°C · density 1.27 g/cm³ · last reviewed 2026-11-06

Product Overview

PursueBam Clear PETG is a crystal-clear, glycol-modified copolyester (PETG) 3D printing filament with high light transmission, so printed parts come out transparent, glass-like and free of the yellowish tint common to ordinary clear filaments. Compared with standard PLA it is noticeably tougher and more impact resistant, bonds strongly between layers and shrinks very little, which makes it a practical choice for clear covers, light guides, LED diffusers, vases, display models and functional end-use parts. The 1.75 mm strand is extruded to ±0.02 mm and vacuum sealed, so it feeds smoothly on mainstream FDM printers with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle — no enclosure required.

Core Selling Points
Crystal-Clear, Glass-Like Transparency

A high-purity transparent PETG grade with excellent light transmission, so models print transparent instead of milky or yellowed. Print at slower speed with thicker layers and low infill to maximise clarity on light guides, diffusers and display pieces.

Tougher Than PLA & Impact Resistant

Glycol-modified PETG delivers much higher impact strength and elongation than standard PLA, so clips, brackets, hinges and snap-fit parts bend instead of cracking — ideal for functional parts and end-use products.

Low Warpage & Strong Layer Bonding

Low shrinkage keeps large flat parts flat and tall parts square, while strong inter-layer adhesion prevents splitting on load-bearing models. A 70–80°C bed gives reliable first-layer grip without adhesive sprays; for the clearest walls use a high clarity PETG grade and keep flow slightly high.

Wide FDM Compatibility

Prints at 230–250°C nozzle and 70–80°C bed on almost all mainstream FDM printers with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle, at 40–80 mm/s, with low odor and no heated enclosure needed.

Precise ±0.02 mm Diameter

1.75 mm strand held to ±0.02 mm with controlled ovality for smooth feeding, steady extrusion and far fewer clogs on long transparent prints. Each 1 kg spool is vacuum sealed with desiccant; dry 4–6 h at 60–65°C before use for best clarity.

FAQ
Q1: How do I get the clearest, most transparent print?

A: Print with thicker layers (0.2–0.3 mm), higher extrusion flow and low infill (0–20%) so fewer internal walls scatter light, keep the nozzle around 240°C and cool slowly. Avoid fans at full power on the first layers; polishing or a light clear coat further improves transparency.

Q2: What temperature should I use for clear PETG?

A: Set the nozzle to 230–250°C (240°C recommended) and the heated bed to 70–80°C. Too low a temperature causes poor layer bonding and a milky finish; too high a temperature increases stringing.

Q3: Does it need drying before use?

A: PETG is hygroscopic. Keep the spool sealed when not in use and dry it 4–6 h at 60–65°C if you see bubbles, popping, stringing or a hazy surface — dry filament is essential for clear, bubble-free PETG prints.

Q4: Will clear PETG warp or crack on large parts?

A: PETG shrinks far less than ABS and bonds strongly between layers, so warping and splitting are minimal. Use a 70–80°C bed, a brim on tall parts and avoid strong drafts for the best results.

Q5: Do you support custom colors, diameters or OEM orders?

A: Yes. Clear, translucent tints, masterbatch colors, 1.75/2.85 mm diameters, custom spool weights and private-label boxes / OEM orders are available; please confirm the target quantity and color list with our sales team, or browse our full 3D printer filament range.
