Product Description
Product Overview

PLA+ high flow filament is the version of impact-modified PLA we build for print farms, OEM workshops and distributors who run FDM machines at production throughput. The polymer keeps the plant-derived polylactic acid filament base that users already trust for low odour and low warping, adds a toughening phase for impact strength, and lowers melt viscosity so the material can be extruded at 250–300 mm/s without under-extrusion or brittle layer bonding.

Every spool is wound on a laser-gauged line and checked against a ±0.02 mm diameter window. For buyers evaluating a supplier, that number matters more than a specification sheet: a filament that drifts by 0.05 mm changes back pressure, causes inconsistent line width and turns a calibrated print profile into guesswork.

Core Selling Points
  • High Flow for 250–300 mm/s Printing — A melt flow index of 8–12 g/10min at 210 °C keeps extrusion volume stable when the carriage runs three to five times faster than a standard PLA profile, so batch jobs finish sooner without cold extrusion marks.
  • ±0.02 mm Diameter Tolerance — Diameter is measured with a dual-axis laser gauge every 500 m of extrusion and logged per batch; roundness is held at or below 0.03 mm for uniform flow and predictable wall thickness.
  • Impact Modified, Not Brittle — Charpy impact strength of 6–9 kJ/m² and 18%–28% elongation at break let brackets, clips and housings absorb drops and clamping force that crack standard PLA.
  • Vacuum Sealed with Desiccant — Each spool is dried to below 0.25% moisture, vacuum sealed with a 5 g desiccant bag and boxed the same day, so ocean freight does not deliver filament that pops and strings.
  • Tangle Free Neat Winding — Servo-controlled traverse winding keeps the strand seated in its own groove, so a spool can run to its final metre without cross-winding or feed-force spikes on long unattended prints.
  • Low Warp, Open Frame Friendly — Shrinkage stays low enough that a 50–60 °C bed and a normal room is sufficient; no enclosure, no odour extraction and no ABS-style corner lift on large flat parts.
High Speed Print Settings
Nozzle Temperature 215–235 °C (225 °C recommended for 250 mm/s and above)
Heated Bed 55–65 °C, PEI sheet or glue stick on glass
Print Speed 250–300 mm/s outer wall 120–150 mm/s, infill up to 300 mm/s
Volumetric Flow Up to 22 mm³/s with a 0.4 mm nozzle and high flow hotend
Part Cooling 70%–100% from layer 3
Nozzle / Retraction 0.4 mm hardened brass or steel; 0.8–1.2 mm retraction at 35 mm/s

Settings above are the profile we ship with every OEM order and represent the range validated on our in-house FDM test bench. Buyers running slower machines can keep their existing PLA profile and simply raise the nozzle by 5 °C.

Batch Testing & Quality Control

Each production batch is sampled and released against the following checks before it is allowed into finished goods. The records travel with the shipment as a batch certificate, which is what most B2B buyers need for incoming inspection.

Diameter & Roundness Dual-axis laser gauge, every 500 m, 100% of spools
Tensile & Elongation ISO 527 type 1A specimens, 5 per batch
Impact Strength ISO 179 Charpy unnotched, 5 per batch
Moisture Content Karl Fischer titration, ≤ 0.25%, every batch
Print Test 20 mm × 20 mm × 20 mm cube plus 100 mm bridging bar at 250 mm/s, first spool of every batch
Winding Check Visual and pull-force check on first and last 50 m of every spool
Documents Batch certificate, RoHS and REACH declarations, ISO 9001 certificate on request
Typical Applications
  • Print farm and OEM production runs that need repeatable output at 250 mm/s and above
  • Functional brackets, jigs, fixtures and assembly aids for workshop use
  • Drone and RC frames, tool handles and enclosures that see drops and clamping force
  • Retail-ready spools for distributors who resell under their own brand
Packaging and Shipping

Every spool is vacuum sealed with desiccant and packed in a printed kraft box; 12 boxes go into one five-layer export carton. Private label printing, colour-matched spools and mixed-colour cartons are available for distributor programmes. Stock colours ship in 3–5 working days; custom colour matching takes 12–18 days including approval samples.

Factory and Experience

PursueBam has produced PLA compounds and 3D printer filament in Shandong since 2015, supplying distributors, print farms and OEM brands across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Extrusion, laser gauging, winding and packing run on the same site, which is why we can quote a tolerance and then hold it across repeat orders. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV) can be arranged at the buyer's request, and remote or on-site factory audit is welcome before the first order.

FAQ
Q1: Why does high flow PLA+ matter for my print farm?

At 250–300 mm/s a standard PLA profile cannot melt enough polymer per second, so walls thin out and layers bond poorly. The higher melt flow index of this grade keeps volumetric output stable, so the same g-code produces the same part at higher speed.

Q2: Can I use it at normal PLA speeds?

Yes. Keep your existing profile and raise the nozzle to 215–220 °C. Slower printing simply gives more cooling time, which improves overhangs and surface finish.

Q3: How do you prove the ±0.02 mm tolerance?

We log every 500 m of extrusion with a dual-axis laser gauge and issue the measurement report with the batch certificate. Buyers can also verify incoming goods with a micrometer at five points across the first metre.

Q4: What is the minimum order and how are samples handled?

One 1 kg spool is enough for a trial, and sample spools can ship against a courier account. Volume pricing starts at 100 kg for stock colours and 300 kg for custom colour matching.

Q5: Do you support private label and custom spool weights?

Yes. We print buyer artwork on box and spool label and can supply 0.5 kg, 1 kg, 2 kg, 3 kg and 5 kg spools. Artwork approval and a pre-production sample are completed before mass production.

Q6: What happens if a spool arrives with a problem?

Report the batch code and photo within 30 days of arrival. Confirmed quality issues are replaced in the next shipment or credited, and the batch record lets us trace the exact extrusion window.
